Laddy

Laddy has a hopeful home in Squamish with Dionne, her son, and their little poodle. So far all is going wonderfully and the adoption should be finalized soon!

Laddy is an approximately 2 year old lab x golden retriever. He is excellent with kids, dog-savvy cats, and dogs. He can however be very shy and fear reactive at first with new people, and needs a quieter, experienced home that will work with him on building his confidence. He acts as though he has been abused in the past. With gentle, patient people he warms up quickly, especially when they have toys for him to play with! He just needs to see that people are kind and will not hurt him ever again. He would do well with positive-based training methods. He is house-trained, great on-leash, loves to play fetch, and knows sit and high-five. Full of 70 lbs. of good cheer, Laddy would love to find a home of his own with people to spoil him, and teach him how great the world can be!

Laddy is looking for a home with a fenced yard, with people who have experience with dogs who are over-whelmed in new situations. He would love to be the second active dog in the house as he loves to be part of a pack and wrestle with a canine companion! He would do best with a single person or couple that can dedicate time to making him feel more comfortable.
