What is it about Momma Lacey? It might be her full body wiggles, or her tail that thwaps back and forth non-stop. It might be the compassion and love she poured into raising her pups, or the way she naps in a tiny little nest she makes out of bedding and blankets. It might just be because she is literal smiling sunshine. From the moment we laid eyes on Lacey's picture taken at the shelter we thought she had the cutest, fuzziest face, and she hasn't stopped her beaming smile since. From when we scooped her up from the shelter when dogs were set for euthanasia, to birthing and raising puppies, to now, when our vet thinks she is going through doggy postpartum and hair loss. She still has her open mouth, ever grateful smile. It's finally time for Lacey to be doted on the way she has always deserved. Lacey is estimated 4 years old and is 50lbs. She is crate and house trained. She is good with other dogs but toys and playing with her dog friends is still a concept she is figuring out. She is generally low energy, and loves a good sunbathing afternoon to recharge. Lacey is set to be spayed and get a dental, but we would love to get her in her forever home in the meantime.
