UPDATE -- Great news! Kya just went to her new home !!! ~~ Kya is a 3 yr old purebred Bernese Mt Dog. A lovely companion for some lucky person! Energetic, friendly to all, outgoing, playful, affectionate. There is still a heck of a lot of playful PUPPY left in this beautiful girl! ~~~ Loooooooves petting and attention from people. Gets along perfectly fine w/ all the other dogs and the cat in her foster home. Does fine with children, too. ~~ Can be a little frightened of sudden loud noises, but not bad. ~~ She will need a gentle patient owner, but one who has the energy to keep up with an active working breed dog like her. ~~ Knows sit and down and come. Walks nicely on a leash. A little bit small for the breed at only 70 lbs. ~~ NOTE: We always require a securely fenced yard for all dog adoptions, and certianly never those shock collar "invisible fencing systems."
