Kuma and Hana have been together most of their lives and will be placed together. (See pics of Hana under her name on our pet list.)
Kuma and Hana were rescued from a southern CA animal shelter and are currently up for adoption. They were turned in due to a divorce/moving situation.
We were told they are about 5 and 6 years old (Hana the older one). At the vet recently Hana weighed about 82 lbs, and Kuma weighed about 93 lbs.
They both seem to be great with people of all ages. From the first day they were pulled from the shelter (9-12-09) they have had no problems with people they don't know handling them, brushing them, walking them, looking in their ears, taking hold of their collar to lead them, etc. They were fine with (large) men as well as small children. They also do not appear to be bothered by loud noises such as the leaf blower.
I gave them both a bath yesterday, and they were very good.
They were not socialized with other animals in their previous home, so we will not be placing them with other animals. They were raised with young children, though, and everything we have seen so far seems to indicate they are very good with kids.p>We are working on their house-training. They have not gone to the bathroom in the house, but that is not necessarily to say they are completely housebroken, just that they have been well supervised and set up for success while inside.
They will need a minimum 6-foot solid wood fence.

Hana and Kuma have now been vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped, spayed/neutered, heartworm negative, on heartworm prevention, on flea prevention and dewormed.
Adoption screening, home check and fee applies. The dogs are currently located in the Sacramento area.
