We have a little of Aussie pups for adoption rescued from the Little Rock dog pound. They are a mix but we are not sure what the mix is. Obviously one of the parents is a full blooded Australian Shepherd. The pups are about 8 weeks old and weigh about 4 pounds. We estimate that the pups will be about 30-40 pounds when full grown. We strongly suggest that anyone considering one of these puppies for adoption read about the breed and make sure they are ready for the commitment of a puppy, which is almost a full time job to raise a well behaved dog. Our adoption fee on puppies is $125 and this helps cover our costs to provide the following - spay or neuter, microchipping, rabies,fecal check and worming, grooming and flea/tick preventative, heartworm preventativeall puppy shots, bordatella and 50% payment of basic traning classes. We recommend all families adopting a puppy to be able to commit to attending these classes to help become a better pet parent. The puppies will be at the West Little Rock Petco store on Chenal Parkway across from Target and Home Depot in the Old Navy strip mall. We show from about 1:30-4 every Sat and Sun except on holiday weekends. The puppies will be available for showing and if interested, a puppy can be fostered with the intent to adopt during the 3 week period after coming out of the shelter. Any vetcare needed during this time will be provided by Dogsonly. We do this to allow a family to take a puppy home while it is still being monitored since coming out of the shelter and could be in a incubation period for illness.
