My Story

ADOPTED!!! Kona is a brilliant one year old terrier puppy who has been seriously neglected, but somehow managed to keep a sunny disposition! This girl came into the shelter as a stray full of foxtails and with an embedded collar that had to be surgically removed. The shelter cleaned her up and restored her to health and now this puppy is playful, kissy and affectionate. Kona has had no leash training, but she is smart and eager to please. Weighing approximately 24 pounds this medium energy girl is going to make a fantastic pet for families living in either apartments or private homes. She's good with other dogs and has a smile that is second to none. Her resilience will astound you and her ability to hold no grudges and get on with a happy go lucky life will leave you speechless. She'll remind you daily to live life in the present and be grateful...what a wise little pup! If you're interested in meeting our resilient girl, Kona, please go to www.thebarkinglot.net and fill out an application or email [email protected].
