My Story

My name is Kiya, I am a small German Shepard mix that had a rough start. When I came to my foster family, I was timid and in need or some TLC. I have been with them for almost 2 months and have come out of my shell and blossomed into a beautiful young lady! I get along well with my 2 foster fur-brothers and 4 foster cats, when my foster Mom decided to bring three abandoned pups home, I helped take care of them and acted as a surrogate Mom! I am kind and gentle with the children in the home and have a great disposition. I can be spooked by loud noises and quick movements, but I am working to get over that. I am in the process of learning basic commands and working hard to go outside when I have to use the bathroom. I like to go in the crate and take a nap, even though I have free reign of the house in my foster home . I do not get into the trash, I won't beg for food, sometimes get up on the furniture to be pet, but I sleep on the floor and am not a big chewer. I adjusted well to my foster family, like to ride in the car and am a very good girl at the vet. The ideal family for me would be one with or without kids, dogs, or cats.
