My Story

Kiska from the North Roaders is doing great with kennel-training, leash-walking, and bath time/grooming. She is still striving to be fully potty-trained but is making progress. She knows 'sit' and is working on 'come/recall' and 'down'. Kiska is very sweet and loves to cuddle. She is quiet and eager to learn (food- and praise-motivated). She gets along great with kids and other dogs. Still looking for a family! Kiska was born on March 10th, she is a Heinz 57 mix (probably with some Husky) and seem like they might be on the medium-size when full grown. Before considering adding Kiska to your family, please note that KPAL Rescue has a mandatory adoption process in place which includes a background check and a home visit. More information on our adoption process can be found in our pinned post, please read that (and this adoption post) in their entirety - our process cannot be waived. We do not ship our animals and we do not allow for third-party transportation. Kiska is sweet and playful; her tail is almost always wagging. She would probably do wonderfully with cats as well (with proper training, exposure, and socialization) since she is young. She loves getting her belly rubbed and will do the little foot move. As a pup, her new family should expect LOTS of training and patience while she masters potty-training, socialization, kennel-training, manners, and other life skills. Our adoption process is outlined on our website: www.kpalrescue.org/pet-adoption/, our Adoption Application can also be found on that website. Please direct questions regarding adoption to [email protected]. The North Roaders will be foster-to-adopt until spayed/neutered (once complete, the Adoption Contract will be finalized). KPAL Rescue puppies are vetted (age-appropriately vaccinated, microchipped, etc.) and are required to be spayed/neutered at around 14 weeks of age (a Foster-to-Adopt Contract will need to be signed at the event and the surgery date will be scheduled at that time). There will be an adoption fee of $350 + tax so that we can continue to help other animals in need. Please share. #kpalrescue
