Kinley

Meet Kinley, a mixed-breed dog who came to Precious Paws Rescue from a remote Northern Ontario community. Kinley is a gentle sweetheart who is fully vetted and ready to find her forever home. Behavioural Traits: Kinley is learning about so many new things down here in the 'south'. Her first reaction is to feel scared at all the newness, but with repetition and exposure, she is becoming more comfortable around moving vehicles and new sounds. Kinley is crate-trained, house-trained and is remarkably good on a leash. She knows "sit" and "come" and seems eager to please. She will benefit from further training and exposure to new sights and sounds so that she can thrive in her new home. Interaction With Other Animals and People: Kinley lives in a home with another dog who she tries to entice to play with her. She would love to have a playmate! She has not met any children yet, but she seems to love people. She can be slow to warm up to new people and is timid at first, but if given space to navigate new relationships on her own terms, she does well. Once she knows you, she adores you. Additional Information from her Foster: "Kinley loves being around her person, trailing me around the house. She is very clumsy when doing activities so she's liable to run into me, sit on me, fall,over when zooming around corners. etc. She has a gentle quiet personality. She is learning not to spook at some noises if she has been exposed to them before (for example, rolling garbage bins are tolerated but only if she’s not too close!). She’s not a big fan of long walks, but if put in the pony field she loves her outside time and zooming around. She's a low-energy girl who enjoys morning and evening zoomies and otherwise just wants to hang out. She’d love to be a couch potato, as once she has topped up on loving she settles close by on her bed or floor."
