My Story

Donate Dober Duds KIMBER. Update: KIMER IS READY FOR A NEW HOME. Kimber is looking great. She has almost grown back all of her hair. She will still need to be on medication and get dipped every few weeks but she can go to her new home as long as the new owner continues the regimen. IDR will provide all the medical Kimber needs until she is healthy. So if you are willing to do a little extra work for a great dog let us know. She has a great personality, is crate trained, quiet, housebroken and not a chewer. She gets along with dogs, both large and small but might be best with another male as she is a bit dominant with other females. She and Morgan (a small Terrier mix up for adoption as well) hang out together and play all the time. She is also okay with the kitten in the home. This girl had a horrible beginning in life and we are so happy to have provided her all she needed to make it to her final step. Now it is your chance to finish her story up with a happy ending. If you are interested in adopting her please email Pam at Orphandobe@ameritec h.net Below is a condensed version of her story. Just another day in rescue!!! I got a call from a rescue woman who lives in TN. She had been in touch with a woman in KY who had known of a female Dobe running stray. Apparently this neighborhood had all watched her grow up, running around loose for the past 6 months so she is maybe about a year old. They said she looked like she had a severe case of mange and was emaciated. So of course we could not just leave her. I spent the the next few hours figuring out how to get her up to Chicago since she was located about 8 hours south of us. I have to say, it is so sad to see that she had been running around looking and feeling like this for month and months with nobody doing anything until now. She was incredibly swollen to the point where her eye was swollen shut and she was very bloody. We named her Kimber after the rescuer in TN. Adoption Application
