Nursing home ambassador Kenai!! He’s made a few visits now and he was so well behaved!! Kenai: *great in a car *good around wheelchairs *rides well in an elevator *loves visiting people!! *great on pack walks *loyal companion What a good boy! We love him so!! Kenai is a wonderful, 7 year old mixed breed guy that came to us from a loving home. He walks very well on a leash and just longs to be loved. Kenai is ever so loving and friendly with staff and volunteers. Shhhh don’t tell the others…. he’s a favorite!! He does very well on weekly pack walks, rides well in a car, and has a very gentle disposition. Kenai is perfect for someone looking for a more laid back dog; one who enjoys short walks then cuddles on the couch! One request- Kenai cannot go to a home with cats or small animals. No appointment is necessary to adopt. Our business hours are 11am - 4:30pm, Tuesday through Sunday. Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications will not be accepted in advance. If you have dogs and/or kids in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are dewormed, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Dogs 7 months and older are heartworm tested.
