My Story

Meet Ken! He is a sweet young man who is finally ready for his fur-ever home. We do not know much about his past, but he was part of an accidental litter, was brought to our rescue partners, and is currently in a shelter environment. While we cannot confirm his breed without a DNA test, we think he is some sort of Coonhound mix. He is a med-large size dog. He is 100% young man looking for a patient and dedicated owner to work with him on all thing's, i.e., basic obedience and socialization. He has been around other dogs and seems to do well, but socialization must continue. He has not formally been tested around cats but will likely not have any problems if introduced. He would be fine around children, but preferably those who understand puppies have razor-sharp teeth and will nip, teeth and ruin anything they can get a hold of. He is currently in a shelter setting, and his personality is constantly changing, but he is at the age where he needs to be in a home in order to thrive and get the care and attention they need. This guy will need an active household to keep him busy and would do best in a home with access to a yard. Given his size, an apartment may not be the best environment. Ken is vaccinated, dewormed, chipped, and heartworm negative. He is pending neuter. If you have a dog at home, we are happy to help you introduce them and see how they do here at the rescue before committing to adopt. For more information, please reach out to us! The breeds listed are a guess based on features and characteristics. We cannot guarantee the size or breed of any dog without a DNA test.**
