On 8/12/08 we rescued two more purebred, AKC registered Bernese Mt Dogs. ~~~ KELSEY is the girl -- born 6/14/05. She is small for the breed at only 67 lbs and 22 inches at the withers. Kelsey is a little less timid than Samson, but still will definitely require a gentle, patient owner to help her over come her fears. Would be too overwhelmed to go to a home w/ the noise and choas of young children. ** She gets along great w/ other dogs and ignores cats. She has very nice markings, classic for the breed.~~ We rescued these two (Samson and Kelsey) from an Amish puppy mill "breeder" here in Ohio.
