Studies show that owning a pet can dramatically reduce stress levels, lower blood pressure and ward off depression. So the way I look at it, you can make numerous visits to several different types of doctors trying to figure out if you are stressed and need Valium, have high blood pressure and need a Beta-blocker or are depressed and need an anti-depressant. OR, you can pay $95.00 for me. Which will it be? I myself am a little stressed and wish I had money to purchase a pet. My previous mom had to give me up because she was having financial problems of her own and thought it best to find me a another home with someone who could love me. I am a male Chihuahua born approximately 8/01. Since entering CAAWS, I have been brought up to date on shots, been neutered and tested negative for heartworms. I’m still a tad shaken up from losing my previous home and get scared kind of easily so a home without children would be best for me. I get along well with cats and other dogs(I tend to pretty much ignore them), since what I really love is hanging out with people.
