The Ugly Beagle - A Fairy Tail...Once upon a time in a land not too far away there lived a beagle. This pretty beagle girl was about to have puppies. When the big day came she was so excited to see her new puppies. As they were being born she realized something was wrong. They didn't quite look like beagle puppies! She was a little confused but didn't really care because they were her precious puppies. She took good care of these puppies and when they were ready they all went to foster homes. All were adopted except one little boy named Keanu. He went to a foster home with some beagles that weren't as nice as some. Keanu was a happy puppy who just wanted to play with the beagles but they all growled at him when he came around and they teased him. They told him that he wasn't a beagle. They called him a mutt and laughed at him. He was separated from his mom & couldn't ask her if it was true. When the beagles howled he barked. The beagles laughed at him & made fun of his bark. They told him that he couldn't sniff like a beagle. They told him a real beagle was food driven but Keanu didn't worry too much about food. But, they told him the real proof that he wasn't a beagle was because he was such an ugly puppy and didn't look anything like a beagle pup! Every night he cried himself to sleep in his crate. Then one day when he was almost 1 year old as he was taking a drink from his shiny stainless (hypoallergenic) water dish he noticed the cutest dog looking back at him. At first he thought that someone had dropped their IPOD in the water and he was seeing a picture of a dog from the Eukanuba Dog Show. Suddenly he realized the dog looking at him was really a reflection of him! At that moment he knew that he had become a very unique and cute dog. He became very excited because he was sure that someone would want to adopt a dog as good looking as he was. He never cried himself to sleep again. He then realized that he would live happily ever after as soon as he found his fur ever home. The End ***Foster note: Keanu is a very nice dog. He is a 10 month old puppy with no issues at all. He loves everyone, people, kids, dogs and cats. He plays with the other dogs. He tries very hard to please and follows us around everywhere. He is a little big for a beagle. He weighs about 50 lbs and is about 20” tall. There is a lot of puppy in this dog but he is smart. He is house trained and sleeps in a crate all night. He knows sit, down and wait. He walks well on a leash and learns quickly. He would be great in a home with children especially children over 6. He just has a lot of puppy energy which can easily be controlled with training.
