As of 8/27/10 Katie has an application pending.
Katie is a doll! She loves kids and does well with other dogs and cats, too. She is still a bit shy around men, and we're helping her overcome that fear. Her foster dad is a gentle soul, and time and patience, as well as exposure to other kind people, she'll be just fine.
She loves to play in the water - in fact, she jumped right into her foster family's pool! If you're an active type, Katie's your gal.
She's received her rabies and distemper vaccines, been dewormed, spayed, and heartworm tested.
The requested adoption fee is $250 under 1 yr, which doesn't come close to covering our expenses.

OARS Dog Adoption ApplicationPlease note that all dogs in our care live with our wonderful foster home volunteers until adopted, so an adoption application is needed prior to setting up a meeting. This process has been designed to ensure that we're helping you to find a lifetime companion who will best fit your preferences, as well as a home best suited for their needs.
Orphan Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, Inc. is a no-kill, volunteer-run nonprofit organization that is dedicated to changing the lives of homeless pets and helping people in need in Northeast Wisconsin.
We are a small network of foster-care homes and a small Adoption Center in Neenah, WI. Our adoption center is home to our adoptable kitties, since our adoptable dogs live in foster homes until adoption.
We take in abandoned, neglected and abused homeless animals, primarily from other rescues and shelters. We care for these pets until they are adopted, or, if they require lifelong care, we provide them sanctuary.
All donations go directly to the pets: to buy the food, supplies, medications and veterinary treatments for the homeless animals in our care. If you would like to be a part of the difference,
