Katie is a 1-2 year old sweetheart with the face of a terrier, a long Corgi-like body, and a somewhat soft coat that was shaved down when she arrived in order to remove several mats. She is truly a med. size dog at about 25lbs. She's a very sensitive girl who is looking for a quiet home environment where she can get the socializing she missed as a puppy. She's a bit reserved with folks she doesn't know, but she's a real snuggle bug with her foster family.
Katie can happily live as an only dog or with another canine companion. She's also an option for cat-owners as she peacefully co-exists with the cat that shares her foster home. Given her sensitive, somewhat reserved nature, Katie will need a home that has kids over the age of 12 and are sensitive to her shy nature and/or an adult home that is ready to shower her with love. Katie's foster mom reports she has nice house manners (no excessive barking, counter-surfing, etc.) and she is housebroken when provided access to a yard via a doggy door.
