Kamen and Kacee

Kamen and Kacee are a lovely pair of English mastiffs, male and female. Through no fault of their own, their owners decided to surrender them to a shelter due to them having a baby. These animals were an owner surrender, who clearly marked on the surrender papers that these dogs do not have any problems with children, yet they chose to dispose of them in a shelter due to the fact that they were having a baby. They are described as almost perfect dogs by the previous owner--housebroken, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and supposedly love car rides. They have simple obedience training and were left loose in the house for 8 hours at a time without incident. Kamen is about 170 pounds and Kacee is about 110 pounds. We have them listed as special needs because we are desparately trying to place these dogs together. Kamen is 5 and Kacee is 2. Their world has already been turned upside down and we would hate to further devastate them by separating them. Kacee looks for Kamen's lead with everything she does. She is more shy than he is. Due to the size of these dogs, we have them marked as no small children. This is not due to temperament, but simply that they may unintentionally knock over a small child. Both of these dogs are very sweet and have the typical clinging mastiff personalities. They need to go to a home with plenty of room and the adopters should be familiar with the mastiff breeds.
