Hello. Pleasure to meet you, my name is Kai. I'm a three-year-old Australian Cattle Dog & Border Collie Mix. I have been in a home most of my life, so this shelter experience is new to me. My owner fell on hard times, and we found ourselves without a place to live. As hard as it was to say goodbye, I know she did the right thing for me and my cat siblings, by bringing us to AVAS. My owner passed on all the things that make me, me! I love to play fetch, and I really love tennis balls. I am very well potty trained, and I walk great on a leash. Potty training? I've got that down! When nature calls, I simply bark at the door and let you know! I do need some extra snuggling during fireworks. I love to join in on howling when the sirens drive by. I am good with kids, cats and other dogs. I am scheduled to get neutered, & heartworm tested soon! I have my vaccinations, and I can be taken home on a foster to adopt contract, I would just need a ride to the vet clinic for my appointment. I would really love to be in a home with someone who enjoys outdoor activities and would like an adventure buddy. I'm a "hop in and sit in the front seat and enjoy the ride" kinda guy.
