Their Story:
Jugernaut is a 3 year old male big mixed breed that came to the shelter as a stray in May. Jugernaut is a giant, and could be part rottweiler, shepherd, or tosa inu, maybe even mastiff. We cannot know since he was a stray. He's very calm, but tends to "calmly" get into trouble, for example, as quiet as a mouse Jugernaut will counter surf, looking for anything tasty that you happened to leave out. His nose a big part of him. Jugernaut seems to do well around other animals, not paying a whole lot of attention to them. Jugernaut knows how to sit, and is easily trained to learn more. He's OK on a leash, and once neutered (to reduce his marking behavior) should help increase his good behavior on the leash. Jugernaut is a dog that would be a good candidate for immediate neutering.

Our adoption policys include: No same day adoption. This is to ensure that there are no impulse buys. If you currently have animals or had animals in the past, we need to check with the vet clinic to make sure they are up-to-date on vaccinations. We now require proof of home-ownership or landlord permission to adopt. There are also some animals that need to be spayed or neutered before leaving the shelter at the new owners expense. These are known as the prespay or preneuters. These animals include purebreds and bully breeds (the pitbull type breeds) for the dogs, purebreds for the cats, and all rabbits must be spayed or neutered before leaving the building. You can call the shelter at 382-4832 if you have any questions.
