Journey

Journey is a 3-year-old Canaan Dog mix. She weights 60 pounds. Journey is an outgoing girl who is playful and curious. She loves to go to new places and explore. She enjoys car rides and long walks. She is polite with every dog she meets. She is being fostered in a home with other dogs, cats, and children. She is always happy and adapts to other dog’s levels of energy. Journey is excellent with children. He loves being petted by children. She is cat-friendly and enjoys to watch them play and run around. Journey is potty-trained and usually goes out to potty 3 times per day. She is crate trained. She could stay in the crate without any issues for several hours when her foster family is not home. Journey is low-medium level energy. She likes to run around in the yard but stays on the couch or on his bed inside the home. She needs to go on walks at least once a day and plays with chew toys when bored. Journey walks well on the leash. She is an amazing dog who is well behaved. She could learn more commands in doggy-school just so he becomes more well-rounded. Journey would do well in a home where she is loved and where he receives lots of affection. She is a low key dog who doesn’t require dedicated training because he knows how to live inside a house. She would enjoy living with a family that takes her on rides to the park or dog friendly patios. She is fine being the only dog if he can meet pup-friends at the park. She would also be happy living with other dogs and/or children of all ages. Rescue story: Journey was found as a stray in Houston, TX. She had a newborn litter of 6 puppies. Her pups are now ready for adoption. A couple are currently living in the PNW area. When Journey’s foster mom saw a Facebook post of Journey and her pups looking for shelter in the front of a house needing help, she reached out offering to foster them. The adoption fee is $600.00, which includes vetting, core vaccines, spay/neuter, deworming, as well as a microchip, health certificate, and transportation costs. Out-of-state pet. Transport arrangements are available for the pet to be transported to your area.
