All Planned Pethood dogs and puppies are altered (spayed/neutered) and fully vetted prior to adoption. Dog breed is a best guess by the vet and/or Petfinder breed expert findings. We cannot guarantee breed, weight, age of dogs or final adult size of puppies.

Josie is a 4 month old Lab/Chow mixed puppy who was originally adopted from PPI a few months ago. Circumstances have changed in her adoptive so Josie is back in our program. She was born on November 20, 2008. Here is a note from her foster: Josie is a very good girl, she is more lab in her personality then anything else. She thinks she is a "big" dog meaning she prefers to play with the big dog versions of her toys rather than the puppy sized ones. She plays well with everyone, but still has not figured out that the kitties do not like the chase game. She can be very vocal, and does "growl" at her toys. She has shown no signs of aggression but does "launch" herself very quickly into your lap if she wants attention, and this can be very off putting if someone is not used to dogs. Much of this is because she is so dark in color and has NO WHITE anywhere that she is hard to keep track of in dimly lit rooms. She is a good little girl, just looking for lots of play and hugs.
