My Story

Added to At-Risk due to Behavior: JGL has been noted to be friendly and affectionate with people, but energetic and frustrated in the shelter. Starting to become stressed in the kennel - he will pace and jump to rebound off the paneling, and bark and become overly excited when someone passes by his run - seems to be experiencing kennel stress. Has been involved in dog fights within the shelter. Must do a meet and greet or go to a home with no other dogs.

Introducing Joseph Gordon Levitt, a charismatic canine with a heart of gold and a zest for life! This handsome pup is a true people person, known for his friendly demeanor and affectionate nature. However, the shelter environment has left him feeling frustrated and stressed.

Joseph's energetic spirit and frustration with kennel life have caused him to exhibit signs of stress, including pacing, jumping, and barking excessively. While he craves human interaction and attention, the confined space of the shelter has left him feeling overwhelmed and anxious.

Despite these challenges, Joseph's foster family has seen a different side of him. Known affectionately as "Gordon," he's proven to be potty trained and loves to indulge in a swim in the pool. His playful nature shines through as he enjoys car rides, hikes, and leisurely walks, with a daily morning mile being a favorite routine.

In his interactions with little children, Gordon's excitement can sometimes lead him to become a bit mouthy, but his intentions are purely out of love and enthusiasm. He's a social butterfly who thrives on companionship and adventure, making him the perfect companion for an active household.

Due to his experiences with dog fights in the shelter, Joseph Gordon Levitt must be the only dog in his new home or undergo a successful meet and greet with any potential canine siblings. With the right environment and guidance, he has the potential to blossom into the loyal and loving companion he's meant to be.

Here's what Joseph's foster had to say about him:
Gordon is potty trained, loves to swim in the pool, was around little children will get mouthy out of how excited he gets with children. He loves car rides, loves to go on hikes and walks, and walks 1 mile every morning. ...
