Jolly Rancher

Jolly Rancher is approximately 16 weeks old in these pictures taken March 20, 2008. He is a wonderfully outgoing, friendly, happy puppy. Jolly Rancher likes to play and run.

Jolly Rancher and his siblings, Gummi Bear, Tooti Frutti, Tootsie Roll, and Jelly Belly, were taken in by LP when a lady neighbor called stating that she was concerned about their owner, their mom, and them. The owner was a man on disability whose living conditions were not the best. He loved the dogs but could barely afford food for himself. The lady said that she would pay to have the mother spayed and wanted to know if we could help. Luckily we had a foster home open for the pups to go so we took them in.

Jolly Rancher is a wonderful boy. He is quite, doesn't bark much, and is very easy going. He likes to lay around and be rubbed or scratched or just loved on. He is a beautiful grayish brown black in color, its more striking the older he gets. He does need work on his housebreaking, but he is working on it because he just wants to please you. Calm lazy days lying in the sun I think are his favorite. He is such a relaxing boy to have around.

We believe the puppies are a basic Heinz 57 type dog for our area. We see Shepard, Corgi, Elkhound, Keeshond, and the ears of a Shar Pei. Their mom was a medium sized long hair girl.

All of the puppies are in a foster home, NOT AT THE SHELTER. A completed and processed application is required before an appointment will be made to see them. We appreciate your understanding as the foster parents and other shelter volunteers work and having a processed application saves time for everyone.
