Johnny

Meet Johnny. This adorable little nugget was abandoned in an industrial park and was being fed by friendly truck drivers. Thankfully, one of our foster moms who works in this park heard about Johnny and was able to secure him and get him to safety. Johnny has been in a foster home for the past 2 months with 3 other dogs (large and small) and has proven to be good with both men and women. He easily integrated into his new pack and has a more submissive nature. He is very eager to socialize and play but takes cues and corrections well from the other dogs - he will initiate play and then drop to the ground on his back in deference once the dog engages. He will also get the zoomies in the yard and enjoys having the other dogs chasing him. Overall, he's a medium-energy pup who likes to play, but also appreciates a comfy lap to lay on for pets. Johnny was shy and reserved when he first arrived at his foster home, but it only took a day or so for him to warm up and his true personality to emerge. Once he warms up to a pup or human he is the most loving little guy. He bonds closely with his people and trusts them as a source of guidance and reassurance. He is a happy dog and a people pleaser - he wants to make his person/people proud. Once Johnny got established in his routine, he has had no accidents and is also crate trained. He walks pretty well on his leash and sometimes he'll even stop and look up at you as if waiting for you to move. He knows how to sit and will sit or lay down patiently for his leash to go on when it's time to go out. He's food-motivated and very trainable. We think Johnny would enjoy having a playmate in his new home, but he is also people-centric so he would be fine as an only dog and your trusty sidekick.
