My Story
Joe is a great dog. He is friendly with other dogs, cats and people. What a laid back boy.... He loves his tennis balls, and he head and belly rubs... He adores his people...... We recently discovered some of his past history. Joe was bought for a police K9 program, when he started having seizures so was retired. He went through a couple of non permanent homes, and wandered away from his last home. His owners refused to pick him up from the shelter, and did not tell anyone that Joe had Epilepsy. He spent 14 days, seizure free, and 10 days with a foster home in Virginia, seizure free, and took a trip to NJ. He spent a couple days with us, still no seizures, and then - bammmm. We got him to a vet, who said that he looks to be in good shape, and around 3 to 4 years old. He had blood work done, and everything came back fine. Joe is now on an inexpensive medicine, and so far, so good. No seizures.
