Jessie 7yo

Jessie is a darling boy. Sweet, loving, loyal and well behaved, he’s the perfect Lab for someone who would like a gentle, mature and totally lovable companion. His family is moving and must part ways with eight year old Jessie, but he’s ready to move right into your heart. At a plump 110 pounds he’s looking forward to starting his new life with you with some regular exercise and sensible eating to get down to a healthier weight. Well mannered Jessie is housetrained and knows several commands. Since he’s very food motivated, it will be a breeze to teach him more. As you’d expect, he’s a bit of a handful on the leash! Jessie has lived with another Lab and is a friend to dogs he meets. He loves everyone and is a swirl of happiness greeting you. Children are a special favorite as we could see from photo of him pictured sleeping on the couch with a child wrapped around his large body. Jessie has spent quite of bit of time alone due to his family’s busy schedule so he can be a bit needy for attention. He barks if left outdoors and says “no thanks!” to crating, but the good news is he’s completely reliable in the house. He’ll bark when he wants attention or barge gleefully into your space, but really nothing his new family can't fix by consistently not rewarding him for those behaviors. When we asked Jessie what his favorite activities were he quickly said, “Having company, being with you and eating! Oh, and I love playing tug and fetch too.” A sweeter, more endearing lovable lug of a Lab would be hard to find!
