“SWEET JESSIE”
Jessie is a 6 year old black lab surrendered by owner to SDRO. She was crated in the backyard 24/7 and on medication to keep her calm. Now that she is in foster, she’s on no medication. She is getting lots of exercise and learning to play with her foster brother and sister and mellowing out quite nicely. Jessie is a wonderfully sweet girl – she sleeps by the bed and gets along with both our dogs. She was great with the grandkids and enjoys the freedom of sunning on the deck instead of being in a crate.
She is in a kennel for 8 hours of the day while we are at work and seems content. We’re working with her on commands – she sits and downs well but is hesitant to come on command and that’s understandable since I’m sure she’s afraid she’ll lose this long awaited freedom. She is housetrained and is learning to go out the dog door.
We would be happy to meet with a prospective family and let them meet “Sweet Jessie” for themselves.
She’s got a heart of gold and deserves a forever home with a good family.
