Jersey

Jersey is looking for a new home through no fault of her own, as she is a loving dog and wonderful companion. She gets a ton of compliments on her markings - just look at that patch! Jersey is a sweet, gentle, and goofy girl. She is approximately 5 years old and 60lbs. She likes lounging, snacking, and sitting on all of the soft things she can find. Jersey is a mellow pooch when she gets enough exercise. She enjoys physical activity like going on short runs, chasing a flirt-pole, or heading to the dog park to run circles around the other dogs. When she is excited to see you, she goes into full helicopter butt-scoot mode and bounces high like a kangaroo. Not only is Jersey a fun-loving dog, she is very intelligent and obedient. She likes to be given commands and is eager to please. Jersey has participated in private training sessions and has learned to walk well on a loose leash, go to her “place” when visitors arrive at the door, and improved her recall. She knows plenty of fun commands including “touch” where she boops your hand with her wet nose. In Jersey's current home, they recently had a new baby and she has been sweet, however, her family has come to the difficult realization that they do not have the resources to continue to support her and are seeking a new environment for her. She is being fostered with her family until she finds a good placement. Jersey would do best in a home without cats or small children - with a dog savvy owner who is able to provide her with structure and guidance.
