Jerry - adopted

Woof, Woof! My name is Jerry and I am just the cutest little pup going! Well, I am little now but my foster mama says that's not for long and that I am growing like a weed! I have big feet that I trip over and someday I will grow into them. I look like a Lab/Border Collie cross but my foster mama says I have to have some Husky in me, because I'm pretty good at howling sometimes! Plus my eyes are the prettest shade of hazel going and they remind my foster mama of husky eyes.

I am a little shy at first and I am Mr. Independent, but I do like to know that my people are close! I am becoming very playful, learning to play fetch and I sometimes chase my tail. It's pretty cute to watch because I don't just chase my tail, I launch myself into a spin in the air to catch it! I also love to play with the dogs in this house; we wrestle and chase each other. They have lots of bones and rawhides they share with me! I am pretty smart, I am learning quickly to not chew anything of my foster mama's! I learn fast and only need to be told once usually to leave something alone!

I also sleep through the night in my crate, as long as I am in the bedroom close to my foster mama; I get lonely otherwise. I also am in my crate while she works and I am such a good boy, it's always clean when she comes home! I am trying really hard not to have accidents in the house and I am doing well but I'm still a baby and I forget sometimes! I am learning to ring a bell to tell my foster mama I need to go out! I am such a good boy, I don't even mind having a bath or getting my nails trimmed; I roll over on my back and let my foster mama trim them with no grumbles from me. I am learning to sit, stay, down and to walk on a leash and I will do just about anything for a treat! Training me is not a problem, I am eager to learn! I love living with my foster mama and her dogs, but I would really like a home of my own. Hurry, with a face this cute, I won't be here for long! Jerry will be neutered before being adopted out. If you wish to adopt a puppy, you must be willing to take an obedience class.

Definitions:

Pending - means that we are working through the adoption process with the 1st applicant. We usually don't add the pending until we are pretty sure the adoption will go through (like at the home visit stage)

On Trial or Trial Visit - means that the dog is in their new home for up to 2 weeks before the adopters need to commit to keeping the dog. We want to make sure that everyone is happy with the new living arrangements! We allow this option for everyone except very long distance adoptions (too far to drive).

Adopted - you know!! A happy ending for a homeless dog. We try to let everyone know when we have the final word. Within about 24 hours, the dog's bio will be moved to our happy tails section!
