Isn’t she a cutie!Jenny is about an 12-month-old, 48#, female that we believe is a cross between an Red Heeler and Labrador Retriever. She was picked up as a pregnant stray. She had a litter of 8 puppies that were, of course, all adopted quickly. She then became depressed in the shelter, so she was rescued by C.A.R.E.S. on 3/20/05.

Jenny is very playful and happy. She enjoys playing with or chewing on all kinds of toys or playing with other dogs. She is also fine around my cats, but we watch her closely because of her herding instinct.

She likes attention from whoever she meets, adults or children. She has crawled in my lap a couple of times, but she really doesn’t fit! She just wants to be loved!

Jenny does fine in a crate and appears to be housetrained. She hasn't had an accident since the first week we've had her. She is such a good girl!

This dog's adoption fee is $250 (plus tax). This includes being spayed, having her back dewclaws removed, current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations, microchipped with the HomeAgain microchip, heartworm tested (negative) and medicated during the heartworm season, comes with a Gentle Leader headcollar, and is currently learning Basic Obedience commands and good doggie manners.
