The Poweshiek Animal League Shelter is raising funds for a dog housing expansion at the shelter. Money raised will enable construction of a 30 by 50 foot addition, which will house PALS dogs. It will include new indoor and outdoor kennels, and will give dogs freedom to come in and out of the building, all while staying safely contained.
Not only will this greatly benefit the dogs, but it will also benefit the cats, as the cat room will be moved to the current dog room, giving much more space for playtime. The cat room will be converted into a much needed isolation room.

A Wire-haired Parson Jack Russell terrier mix, Jed is a cheerful little optimist - he always sees the bright side of life. Which is remarkably spectacular, as when we asked the dogtor to take an x-ray to figure out why he had a slight limp in his hind end, the x-rays revealed that someone had used this sweet, happy little guy for target practice. We found 1 22 bullet and 21 BB pellets riddled throughout Jed's hind end and torso. What an incredible little guy that he still has absolute hope that every person he meets could be his new best friend.

On a leash he will prance and dance and laugh his way through his walk. So far he seems to get along with everybody he meets, and he certainly wants to meet everybod, lol! He has the most interesting hairstyle: long and curly on top, and spiky on the sides. He weighs just about 20-25 pounds. If you are looking for a happy little clown for a companion and ready to provide the love and security that this fellow has really earned, please come on out and meet Jed.

ADOPTION DONATIONS: Adoption donations for PALS animals go directly either to medical care for those or other furkids in need, or towards maintenance, supplies, and improvement of the newly-built shelter!
