We haven't seen him with cats but he can be tested. We would be cautious placing Jax in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare shy dogs with their level of energy or noise. Children would need to be supervised closely to not leave doors open and should never walk the dog without an adult holding the leash. We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant. Currently Living at: Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus. Needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to come up here! Special adoption considerations: Jax comes from a commercial breeding operation and has never lived in a home before. The breeding operation has been shut down, and this adorable pup now has the chance to learn what its like to be a real dog. He hasn't had enough experience with the world and is shy. Because Jax is shy, he needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog. This sweet shy boy wants nothing more than to be safe and loved - and to have his own humans to love. He's looking forward to exploring his new home - his new neighborhood - the world! And doing it all on his own four paws, not toted about in a purse. To get there, he needs extra patient and loving adopters who understands he is very small - he sees the world at our ankle level -and the world is so big, and he needs to feel safe. A welcoming resident dog will show him how it's done too! And yeah, just look at that coat. He'll need daily brushing and regular professional grooming to prevent painful mats from forming. In exchange, he has so many adoring gazes stockpiled and all the love and loyal companionship in his little heart to offer his new humans. What do you say?
