Jasmine

Here's one fun-loving girl looking for that special home! Jasmine is a 5 year old shepherd mix spayed female who was dumped at a local shelter by an uncaring owner. She came to us a bit timid but after a few days of kindness she has blossomed into a wonderful, energetic girl who loves to run and play. Jasmine gets along well with other dogs and especially loves kids. She will do best with an active family as this girl has plenty of energy. This is truly a dog for all seasons! Additional notes from her new foster mom: Jasmine has spent the last 4 days with us in the country. She is a truly wonderful girl and would be totally devoted to the family that picks her. She is great with other dogs and with my grandkids. As a matter of fact, she spent last evening lounging around the living room with the grandkids on sleeping bags and blankets! As you can see from the pictures, the boys enjoyed her as much as she enjoyed being in the middle of them and our other 4 dogs! Being overly skinny from lack of care and attention by the prior owners, it surprises me that even though she chows down her food quickly, she is so gentle taking a dog treat from your hands. She's anxious to please and loves to have her tummy scratched as she sprawls out beside you. She crates easily at night and doesn't make a sound except that long tail wagging as we settled down for the evening. Wish the other dogs could be so obliging! Being here in the country and allowed to stretch her legs instead of sitting in a kennel all day, Jasmine runs with our 3 year old Aussie and gives him a real run for his money. After she's gotten rid of some of her energy, she very curiously explores the backyard and is enjoying herself. She knows her basic commmands and is starting to trust us enough to come when we call her. We're also working on feet off since she wants to jump up - she's just so glad to have some attention. She would definitely enjoy an active family to run and play with, but can settle down at night in the house and be quite a cuddler! Please give her the loving and affection she needs in a forever home.
