Janie is another one of the puppy mill dogs that we brought in. She is a 12 pound, eight year old sweetie. She is somewhat shy but very affectionate. If you are wondering why she is wearing a sweater, it seems she is affected by cold and damp. We took her to the vet and there is nothing wrong with her. It is probably anxiety, being malnourished or anemic. The sweater did the trick.
Janie is being fostered in New York. An application is required and can be found at www.bichonrescue.org. Remember, because of these girls' backgrounds and the demands of the breed, we do not place in homes with small children. These puppy mill babies need a stable, quiet home. We would like them to be placed in a home with another small dog.
