Jane is a 10 month old black and tan Terrier/Hound Mix. She weighs about 25 lbs. Jane and her sisters were just puppies when they were abandoned and were found wandering the streets during the cold month of January. The people who owned the mother dog moved and took the mother and left the puppies to fend for themselves.
The three girls were taken in by Second Chance Pets and given the chance to find new homes where they would be loved and cared for. Jane is the last puppy of the litter still waiting to find her perfect home.
Jane will need to go to a family that is willing to allow her some time to adjust to a new family. She is nervous around new people, but once she has adjusted she loves to run and play, especially with her toys. She is a very social dog and would adjust easier with a family that does not have a busy social life.
P> Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Petco on Bay Area Boulevard. The adoption fee starts at $125. All dogs are heartworm tested, on heartguard, fixed, vaccinated, dewormed and defleaed. All dogs are microchipped.
