“One of the best dogs Gerdy's has ever had!” Well we have certainly found out what a GEM of a family dog Jamie is! He went out on a trial placement but was returned—not for anything to do with him, but because of a change of heart as to really wanting the commitment to care for a dog in the family after all.  But Jamie’s true colours shone through! Enough so that we are rewording his biography because this guy really deserves the BEST home possible!  Jamie is a very QUIET dog, not a barker! HOUSETRAINED! Calm in the house. No separation anxiety—perfect in his wire crate, he is put to bed in it at 11 pm, and will sleep til 8 a.m. if allowed! Jamie will respect your wish not to jump on the furniture if it is important to you—otherwise he’d LOVE an old blanket to curl up and rest in a favourite chair! He is VERY affectionate—not a mean bone in his body. Jamie is not a large dog, more a medium size around 40 pounds, and he comes with a new Easy Walker harness that makes walking him a breeze! Ideal companion for the work at home person, in fact! Loves to play fetch.  This friendly boy is a One and a half Year Old mix of BOXER/ BLACK LAB/ tinge of Boston Terrier—an Original with a docked tail as well, and teeth showing in his lower jaw, --a permanent grin! He was dumped at a shelter with a painful inverted eyelid on ONE eye that he had endured since birth, Gerdy’s is in the process of getting it fixed at our expense. Jamie went toboganning with the kids, met neighbourhood dogs and played well with them, and was a very social guy—actually he thinks he is a lapdog. He will sit on your lap at the slightest invitation and lay like a baby to have his chest rubbed, or will sit like a baby on your lap, his front paws wrapped lovingly over your arm! He is FULL OF AFFECTION, good with gentle children as with adults—loves people! With a super grin and the softest eyes imaginable, Jamie is love personified in a funny mug of a face not only his mother will love!  Jamie is neutered, heartworm tested negative, vaccines updated--bordatella, Max 5, Rabies—vet checked, dewormed, no fleas. A SUPER, SUPER FAMILY DOG!
