Jake~FOUND!

4-24 update: Jake went to a foster home with Beagle911 in PA to complete his recovery in a more comfy and family friendly environment. Also other good news - Holstein was located, confiscated and now safely at vet. So this has been a good week! We have our dogs back and prayerfully their nightmare is over!!! Thanks to all for your concern and prays!

4/21 update: Jake looked great today and is bouncing back to his old self! He was standing up and barking! Yea Jake! I think he is feeling all the prayers and warm thoughts - Thank you all for caring!

4/19/09: Poor Jake was found wandering in the Clearfield area this morning. He is severely injured. He has lacerations and puncture (bite) wounds. Our prayers for his return were answered and now this precious boy has been found alive. Jake is now at the vets being treated. We need donations for his care. Jake also will need a caring rescue or home once he is healed.

4/13 Update: The same redneck that stole Holstien, also stole Jake. He was to go to his new home on 4-17 too . We pray he hasn't been used as dog fighting bait, but it is what we fear. There was a blood trail left from where the thief dragged the American Bulldog and Jake through the fence. The police have been notified!

Owner turned in his three beagles 4-8-09. This guy is about 8 years old and a sweet boy. He has been living his life on a heavy log chain for many years. He would love to retire in the comfort of your warm home.

Dogs in the Rowan County K-9 Shelter receive their first dhppl vaccination (parvo/distemper) upon arrival at the pound. Rabies vaccine and spay/neuter surgery can be done for the $50 adoption fee. Please note rabies vaccine and surgeries are NOT done on site and dogs must be adopted before they receive rabies vaccine or surgery.
