How can any of us forget the plea for the dog last week that was found at school bus stop with a note on his collar saying “Please take me”?? Please look at his new pics….THIS is the face of a happy dog!!! Just last week this poor baby was pretty sad and had a hurt back foot. We got him all fixed up at the vet and found out he had been shot in the foot with a BB gun 5 times!! POOR JAKE! His foot is still swollen, but it was very painful when we got him and even so he was such a good boy letting the vet mess with it and get it all fixed up for him. There is soft tissue swelling and we are soaking twice a day along with lots of good meds and he is on the mend & will make a full recovery! Everyone at our vet absolutely loved him and said he was the sweetest and most gentle boy they had seen in a long time!
Some things we have learned about Jake while in his foster him is that he LOVES kids more than anything in the whole world. A home with kids would be the best thing for Jake!! He can and will jump short fences and can only be adopted to a home with a 6-7 wooden fence. It’s almost a game to him! Little stinker!! He isn’t fond of the crate, however he is 100% housetrained (that’s right, not a single accident since we have had him!) and he does fine when left alone in the house…he is a very good boy. He would love a home with another dog too and plays great with all of them. He and his foster sister romp and play all day long. He is a MAJOR snuggle bug and really is a lap dog as far as he is concerned. He likes to go outside if you are with him, but wants to come right back in with you. He loves his humans. He is just a happy-go-lucky dog!!
Jake is a Spaniel/Setter mix of sort and a very handsome boy. He is 18 months old and full grown at 18 months old. His coat is beautiful and soft and he has the cutest freckles on his legs. He is the best!! He has been getting to stay in doggie day care because he is such a good boy and gets along with everyone! His perfect home with have another dog to play with as well as some kids!!
