Jake

Courtesy Posting - Jake and his buddy Doc''s owner passed away a few months ago. He was much loved and went everywhere with his owner, camping, fishing, visiting friends, etc. Jake is a registered border collie and has Scottish and Welsh ancestry! He was born 3/24/97, so he is about 11 1/2 years old, but acts much younger. He has been neutered and is up to date with his license and shots. Jake is very comfortable around strangers, children, other dogs, and farm animals. There were always people with their dogs and children, coming and going in the house where he lived. Jake definitely earned his keep as a working dog on the small farm where he lived. He would bring in the horses and cows at night. Jake has just recently been introduced to cats where he is staying now. He can't take his eyes off of them and follows them around (I guess he's trying to herd them!) but he shows no aggression towards them. Jake loves to play! (Actually I think he needs to play) Life is a never ending game for him. I think Jake is best suited to a home that has similar other dogs with which to interact.
