Jackson

ADOPTED! - What a happy little guy Jackson is! And, rightfully so! He recently went through a puppy mill auction, and--lucky for Jackson--he ended up in our rescue program rather than going to another breeder. Jackson--who is a purebred long haired Doxie--is just one year of age and he only weighs ten pounds. He has a very upbeat attitude, he loves to play, he is great with other dogs, and he is gentle with (but a little afraid of) cats. Jackson would enjoy another small dog to play with and a safely fenced yard (please, no invisible fencing). He is still working on his housebreaking skills, so an adopter who works out of his/her home--or is retired or just works part time--would be perfect for him so he wouldn't have to be a latchkey dog. Because Jackson is so tiny, we would also prefer that he not be adopted by someone with small children, as he could easily be inadvertently injured. Jackson and has been neutered, immunized, heartworm tested, checked for intestinal parasites, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $300. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes, and are not available for viewing until an adoption application is filled out and references are checked.
