My Story

Jackson is such a sweet boy. Being petted and having attention is his favorite thing. He is very loving. If you want someone just to snuggle with you while you watch TV, Jackson is your guy. If you want someone to sleep in bed with you, he would also love to do that. He will promise not to take up too much room. He has his moments where he loves to run and play, but at other times he is very calm and quiet for a 6 month old Lab. His birthday is 2/9/09. A few weeks ago, he had never seen a collar or leash. He had to be carried because he was so afraid to walk on a leash. He has now had some training at Pet Palace and is doing very well walking on a leash. Plus he is learning some basic commands. He is also very close to being completely house trained. He is very smart because he has learned a lot in a very short time. Jackson and his 5 sisters came from a very bad situation where his owner was unable to afford food for them. When they came to Second Chance Pets, they were very hungry and you could see every rib and hip bone. But now he has been making up for lost time and is filling out and looking beautiful. His coat is shiny black and very soft and silky. You would think that a dog who had been kept in a backyard all his life and had never seen anyone but his owner would be afraid of strangers. But not Jackson! He is friendly to anyone who comes his way. One day at Petco he was surrounded by about 6 children who were sitting on the floor around him. He was loving every minute of all the attention he was getting. He gets along with other dogs and loves to play chase all around the yard. He is even good around cats. Jackson would make a wonderful addition to any family. P>
