ADOPTED! - Jackson is a sweet fellow who is very cuddly and smart. (He's already learning how to "sit"!) He weighs 10 lbs. at this time, but our guess is that he will mature at around 50 lbs., based on the size of his dad (a big Lab) and his mom (who is 3/4 Border Collie and 1/4 Lab). Jackson loves to play, and he is good with children, but--like all puppies--he will need to be enrolled in obedience training and will need to continue work on his housebreaking skills in order to mature into a responsible young man. (Puppies can only "hold it" for one hour longer than they are months old. Jackson is just a little over two months old, so he will need frequent potty trips outside. For this reason, an adopter who is home much of the time would be best for him.) Jackson would also enjoy a safely fenced yard (please, no invisible fencing), since he will be an active, energetic guy as he grows up. Jackson's adoption fee is $250, and he will be neutered, immunized, and microchipped prior to adoption. If you are interested in adopting Jackson, please send us a cover letter describing your situation, your lifestyle, etc. (Our e-mail address is:
[email protected]) Then, if we feel you would be the right fit for Jackson, we will e-mail you an adoption application. .
Jackson was the result of an accidental breeding. (His mom hadn't been spayed and she was tied outside unattended when a stray Lab arrived on the scene.) The world doesn't need any more mixed breed puppies. Each year over 5 million dogs are euthanized in shelters and pounds nationwide. There aren't enough loving homes for all the unwanted dogs out there, so--while YOU may find "good homes" for YOUR puppies--somebody ELSE'S puppies will then die as a result, for lack of enough good homes. By being posted here, sweet little Jackson has now joined the list of more than 18,000 homeless Labs and Lab mixes on Petfinder. PLEASE be a responsible dog owner and help stop the pet overpopulation problem by spaying/neutering your pet.

We do not operate a humane society or shelter, so we do not have a facility that is open to the public. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes, and are not available for viewing until an adoption application is filled out and references are checked. Please read the information on our home page (by clicking on our rescue name below this dog's photo) before contacting us.
