My Story

Jackpot, aka Jack, has had professional training and knows the basics – sit, down, place, touch and stay. He is housetrained and able to be out during the day to hang out and wait for you while you work. When you come home, this extrovert loves a couch cuddle packed with belly rubs. Jack’s favorite things: people, belly rubs, training games with his person, car rides, sniffaris, fetch, stuffed kongs, and hikes. Jack is about a year and a half old, neutered and up to date on all shots. He would love to be the only dog in your home. He came into the shelter with another dog, but after she was adopted, he has been more selective of his canine friends. Because fetch is a passion – a yard for this active guy would be ideal. It doesn’t have to be big - just enough for this handsome man to run after thrown toys. Jack comes with sponsored training from Wiggle Butt Academy, so his new family can learn everything he knows. OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Raising The Bar Animal rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc). Jack is currently in the care of Canine Lighthouse and communication will be through both rescues. Our out of state adoption fee is $175 plus transport (varies by location - typically $200 to the NE and $300 to the PNW). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of departure.
