Izzy

Izzy was rescued out of the "hood" chained in the front yard. She is now around 4 years old and is very eager to please. She has been a bit spoiled so making the rules clear is a must. And she is easy...... so it is even more fun. She very recently had kidney stone surgery ($700.00 or so) and was put on a high protien diet that cost $45 for 15 lbs. She is an old soul who you just want to spend time with. She can go to a nursing home or just hang out in the yard while you're doing gardening. She is not too excitable around the foster mom's 4 chickens and pays slight attention to the rabbits.

She has had 3 homes in 4 years. So, we are looking for her last and final home. She is very used to being groomed and cared for like a poodle should be. She loves to run and play and be silly in the yard. She is very athletic and would do great in agility or obedience. She is also a great companion and could easily be a canine good citizen.

She has had kidney stones and requires a special diet. She has been doing great on an All Natural RAW diet. This diet is also much cheaper then the prescription diet the vet put her on.

As a standard poodle she does require weekly, thorough brushing, and monthly grooming. This dog has been used in creative grooming and is used to being dolled up, died and all kinds of primping. She is also a great lap warmer. She has been around all kinds of dogs, cats, and has even been around a few chickens. She comes when called and is looking forward to meeting her new people and home.

If you have never had a poodle before it would be beneficial to realize her grooming will be around $70-$80 every 4-5 weeks. If you're diligent about keeping her brushed out it could go as long as 6 weeks. She is alert and will let you know if someone is outside.
