Imagine a beauty pageant queen out 4 wheelin’ in the mud hootin’ and hollerin’ with her friends just trying to keep up! THAT is Ivy!!!! Ivy grew up playing with pitbull brothers … she knows how to boot scoot and boogy to stay ahead of the game then adds her own flare of bounce and back end tucks to hit the warp speed escape. She will be endless entertainment and laughs! The home that will best fit her will have a young, playful dog that enjoys her company. If you need a second to fulfill that, check out Bridgett (6 month old heeler/corgi mix)on our petfinder site- she is a great playmate of hers here at the foster home. She will also absolutely require a fenced yard (not underground for her) … she loooooooves to be outside in the cool weather so looking for a northern home also. This is not an apartment dog… she would be miserable. She walks great on a leash and does wonderful hiking and could even be a great running or agility partner. She plays soccer and fetch and has some fabulous moves! She needs an ACTIVE home that offers her a variety of activities. She does not do well in social places — she gets very scared when strangers reach for her. She was en route to be euthanized because her current family did not have time for her…. thankfully this rescue was contacted that day and she came to my home. She will need consistent grooming and upkeep. she is 3 years old, 23#, vetting complete, housetrained, crate trained but “dont put baby in the corner”— she prefers to be loose in house (and behaves just fine). contact [email protected] for adoption application.
