My Story

I first saw 'Ita' (pronounced eeta) a year ago with her two puppies at the Capitol Lakes. Two months ago I found her living beneath a house, alone and sick. I managed to leash her and then proceeded to have her treated for worms and heart worms. She also has had her rabies shot and gotten spayed. She is about 40 lbs. and 3-5 years old. She is very bright, I believe she is part border collie, learns very quickly, is house trained, friendly with my other 3 dogs, playful and all in all delightful little creature. She needs a home that will be very focused on giving her heart worm pills each month as this will continue to provide her with good health. Also, she needs to live in an airconditioned home, as too much heat will be hard for her with her history of heart worms. She jumps with glee about two feet off the ground when she is fed, and for the most part, she only needs to be told once to learn something. She will be someone's dutiful and adoring friend, of this I have no doubt.
