I am looking for a new foster or forever family! Please email [email protected] to sign up to foster! Hi! I'm Ishmael, I'm from a local shelter. From his foster: Ishmael is a sweet old man! Ishmael has a lot of vision and hearing loss, but that doesn't stop him from enjoying life! He loves sitting by the screen door and feeling the breeze on his face. He loves taking walks and sniffing all the things. Ishmael is a huge fan of treats and does a cute little happy dance when he smells food nearby. He spends a lot of time sleeping curled up on his dog bed. He is potty trained and does just fine left alone at home. Ishmael will need a dental examination with probable extractions. He takes some medication for joint pain in his hips. Because he cannot see or hear much, he can be startled by other dogs at times. He would do best as an only dog or with dogs that will leave him alone. He's snapped at dogs around him sometimes but is usually just fine. He hasn't been around cats but was around a pet rabbit and had a very high prey drive. He is a terrier after all!
