Isabella

"Isabella" was born 5/19/2005.
She is an AKC registered full blooded "BLUE DANE" who had 3 beautiful litters of puppies.
She has now been surrendered to us to "retire" from breeding.
She is a very affectionate, loving girl and yes............she has her Dane "zoomies".
Isabella is, with about 85 lbs, a small Great Dane and perfect for the person who wants all the wonderful GD behavior and attitude without the extra large size package.

Isabella is Heartworm positive and needs to be kept on a monthly Heartworm prevention.

Isabella needs a home and family that understands her needs and will love her unconditionally.

Please remember that a Great Dane is a large dog that requires large amounts of high quality food, large areas to sleep, run, play, and the vet expenses associated with a Great Dane are in direct proportion to their size simply because they require a larger quantity of everything like heart worm prevention, flee and tick prevention, vaccination, etc.
Remember that your vehicle also has to be big enough to accommodate their large size and they absolutely need obedience training so that you can control them through command, not strength.

Great Danes are also not suitable to homes with toddlers and small children simply because they can cause them harm with as little as their wagging tail. Isabella we will definitely be looking for a fenced in back yard for her to run and play in.

We know that few can resist a puppy but and "older" dog will make such a wonderful companion without that you have to go through all the potty training and chewing stages.
Puppies are not staying puppies forever and will soon be an "older" dog as well

Every dog will depend on you for frequent and regular feedings and walks, for guidance and training, for a lot of your time and a lot of your love.

So before you plunge into dog owner ship, take time to conduct some research. Become acquainted with all that having a dog involves. While the rewards really are many, in reality, so are the requirements!

A Dog is a lifetime commitment and a life changing decision.

Make sure you chose a dog by breed, size, energy and age that will fit your activity level and lifestyle

This pet is spayed/neutered, vaccinated to age, micro chipped and comes with a 30 day Pet Health Insurance.

**PLEASE NOTE: We are the Humane Society of Statesboro and Bulloch County (not the Bulloch County Animal Shelter). We DO NOT HAVE A LOCATION at this time. All the pets in our care are in foster homes.
