Good in a home with
The warmth in Isabella's bright eyes could melt your heart. She is a mixed breed, with a small, refined and leggy frame, but an ample and rounded torso, reflecting her happy and sturdy "Lab-ness". The dash of Eskimo dog has put a spring in her step; a plumed tail and feathered legs give her a bustling, skirted look.
Isabella's personality, however, is classic yellow lab - filled with goodness, steadiness, and trust. She is wonderfully responsive with a gaze that is both imploring and expectant. Her tail wags steadily, and she watches with keen and gentle intelligence for the type of interaction that is wanted of her.
Isabella is equally delighted with a vigorous outing, when her stout and barrel shaped body trundles dutifully alongside her human, or an evening devoted to television and pure laziness; she is humbly and happily grateful just to be included.
Demonstrative and very affectionate, Isabella showers her current caregiver with kisses, and a smile creases her face in an expression that borders on adulation. Isabella was removed from a home in which her former human's health was in rapid deterioration, and there is an aspect to Isabella that seems to be looking carefully and hopefully for a purpose and a job, to supplant the work and bond she used to have. She has accepted foster care graciously, but she is still a trifle bewildered.
Her basic manners are excellent - she is quiet, comes when called, sits on command, and interacts with other dogs and cats easily.
Isabella is a stable, affectionate, and vulnerable dog whose former world has been uprooted. She needs a home and adopter in whom she can trust, and the knowledge that she is once again important and needed. She will more than reciprocate with all the love, devotion and loyalty that she possesses.
